Intermunicipal Integrated Waste Management Plan, Kosovo

The “Support to the Municipalities of South Mitrovica, Vushtrri and Skenderaj in Development of an Intermunicipal Integrated Waste Management Plan (IIWMP)” project was co-financed by the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and implemented by GIZ.

The IIWMP was developed in line with best EU practices and implemented through technical and logistical support to regional and municipal planning exercises, organizational development for the involved institutions and budgetary planning process. The participating municipalities were supported to elaborate a IIWMP that can be ratified by all municipalities in a legally binding inter-municipal agreement.
